At NSFT, Mumbai, our team successfully replaced 20 worn-out tyres on RTG machines, restoring equipment that had been out of service for an extended period. The project required meticulous execution, beginning with dismantling the old tyres and rims, followed by thorough preparation of rim and lock ring surfaces. To ensure safety and reliability, we performed dye penetrant testing to detect any hidden defects and applied a protective coating to critical rim areas. The new tyres were then assembled with precision, guaranteeing optimal fit, performance, and extended service life. The entire operation was carried out efficiently, minimizing further downtime and enabling the RTGs to return to full operational capacity.
